Environmental and Sustainability Specialist - Global Infrastructure Organisation

Up to £40,000 + Car + Benefits

Our client are a leading international infrastructure organisation require an Environmental and Sustainability Specialist. You will be responsible for delivering environmental briefings and providing expert knowledge on subject matters such as; ecology, waste management, archaeology, noise and vibration, water, air and land pollution. You will also lead and drive the environmental and sustainability agenda for the business with the operational project teams. As well as ensuring projects are compliant with the environmental and sustainability requirements of the UK Business Management System (BMS).

Responsibilities

Responsible for delivering environmental briefings and providing expert knowledge on subject matters such as; ecology, waste management, archaeology, noise and vibration, water, air and land pollution

Lead and drive the environmental and sustainability agenda for the business with the operational project teams

Ensure projects are compliant with the environmental and sustainability requirements of the UK Business Management System (BMS)

Provide projects with technical advice, guidance and support on environmental and sustainability matters and consenting requirements

Manage the environmental sub-contractors

Support winning business teams with environment and sustainability, (including social value) responses for bids and PQQs

Actively contribute to learning, sharing and best practice via the UK Centre or Excellence

Skills

Support delivery of UK and Group Zero Harm action plans

Contribute to the Strategic Business Unit Sustainability action plan and translate policies, standards & targets for the local sectors/delivery units

Programme manage the implementation of Blueprint within the designated work area through the implementation of sustainability management plan for the project - review and update

Support the delivery of the sustainability performance management and reporting for the designated work area, analysing trends to build improvement

Ensure environmental and sustainability data from the project is uploaded onto the sustainability portal on a monthly basis
